"MARJI MOZART TAKES NATIONAL FIRST PLACE IN SONG COMPETITION"

Laser Light Studios has awarded Marji Mozart's song first place in a nation wide contest that saw dozens of original songs of all genres and from every corner of the country. According to Laser Light producer and co-founder, Ryan Belkofer, "Marji's song was an obvious winner among about 50 serious contenders in the contest." "Her track came on, and everyone stopped what they were doing and just engaged in listening. You could see accross everyones faces that they were experiencing greatness... [She was] without question who our national winner was." Belkofer said of the song.

Marji Mozart was already performing in show choirs and as a solo act since she was a small child. Her music writing started when she was 8 years old.

In October 2018, Marji was performing solo, singing at her piano. In the audience was an event promoter who was looking for an act to open for a fairly well known rock band that would be headlining one of his events the following April. After the show, the promoter approached Marji, asking her to open for that rock band. Knowing she would best be able to do that with a band around her, Marji contacted for rythm guitar, Jimmy Morgan, for drums, Luke Jessop and for lead guitar, Jay Woodruff. This was the beginning of Marji Mozart Band.

From that first performance, April 2019, Marji Mozart Band has performed from Colorado to California, Chicago to Miami, performing shows from bars and resaurants to festivals, corporate events to private events, weddings to birthdays even being on stage ahead of legendary rock bands.
